Yemen Makha Sanani is a very rare & limited single origin coffee. After coffee seeds were brought to the port city of Makha, Yemen across the Red Sea from Ethiopia ,it started the trade & cultivation of coffee export globally. Till this day Yemen coffee is produced almost exactly the same way it was in the 17th century. Yemen Makha Sanani goes through a natural process method of being sun dried on rooftops , husked apart by millstone , & curated by hand. These coffee beans grow at an altitude of 5,000 to 6,800 ft above sea level. Our personally & beautifully hand roasted Yemen Makha Sanani coffee beans are a light to medium roast. Full & strong body. Mild lemon acidity & a bit earthy. Your palate will experience unique fruit tones , spiced herbs ,& hints of subtle dark chocolate. Ethiopian coffee & Yemeni coffee compliment each other so well. Our roasting & brewing technique was taught while growing up in Ethiopia & stayed a tradition in our family once we moved to California. We enjoy our particular roast very much that we decided to share it with you.
